St. Norbert Farmers Market

A 10-minute drive from Arden Hollows Apartments (15 Arden Avenue), St. Norbert Farmers Market (3514 Pembina Highway) made history as Manitoba’s first online market, offering local farmers another avenue provide quality goods to area residents throughout the off-season. With Spring knocking, this local market reopens for the season on May 21st, offering regular hours on both Wednesdays and Saturdays until the fall.

Downtown Farmers Market

Homemade baked goods, tasty preserves, fresh fruits and veggies, crafts and more can be found at the Downtown Farmers Market, held at Manitoba Hydro Place (360 Portage Avenue). Just a five-minute walk from Colony Square Apartments (525-555 St. Mary Avenue), it won’t take long to get to this local favourite. The weekly Summer market begins on May 5th with daytime hours each Thursday.

The Forks

Enjoy a beautiful stroll along the River Walk to get to The Forks Farmers Market (1 Forks Market Road) from Hargrave Place Apartments (26 & 45 Hargrave Street). The market runs from June to September at the Plaza Parking Lot, 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.. Farmers, bakers and artists offer their goods for the public at this weekly shopping extravaganza.

The Wellness Institute

The Wellness Institute, in conjunction with Seven Oaks General HospitaDepositphotos_5309797_s-2015l, encourages Winnipeg residents to go local and eat healthy by hosting the Wellness Farmers Market (1075 Leila Avenue). Here you can find all of your market favourites, including honey, tea, baked goods and fresh produce. The market opens starting mid-July on Tuesdays, 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. 160 Smith Apartments is a 15-minute drive from this option.
