Top 3 Spots for Summer Salads

Aug 20, 2025

Freshly grown produce is one of the best parts of summertime. Timbercreek Communities has compiled a few great places to find summer salad around the Kerr Village neighbourhood in Oakville. Best of all, most or our selections are located within blocks of The Anchorage apartment community at 444 Kerr Street.

Stoney’s Bread Company (325 Kerr Street)

Enjoy some salmon with salad menu offerings such as maple glazed green salad or the quinoa and spinach combination. Other seafood salad offerings include a twist on the traditional Caesar that is topped with shrimp and scallops. A favourite of Stoney’s customers is the spinach salad topped with poached pears, cambozola, asiago, spiced pecans, apricots and champagne vinaigrette. All of the delicious dressings, including Stoney’s famous champagne dressing, are made in house.

Gingerman Social Eatery (335 Kerr Street)

The amazing spinach salad here includes tons of toppings such as feta, avocado, macadamia nuts and is topped with sweet Dijon dressing. Diners can also build their own salads by choosing Caesar, quinoa or green salad as a base and adding toppings. Add-ons include proteins such as blackened tilapia, grilled chicken breasts or shrimp. For an interesting twist on the traditional salad, try the lettuce wraps. The wraps have lots of flavour and provide a nice light option in the midst of a heat wave.

Salad Thai Restaurant (398 Kerr Street)

With salad in the restaurant’s name, this spot takes its salad offerings seriously. Order in advance and take your food to go. The Thai mango salad is a dish that’s beautiful to behold and even better to eat. Gorgeous mango complimented by sliced red pepper and just a bit of heat makes this an excellent summer salad. The papaya salad is also a delicious option, or try the eggplant salad for something a bit different. This dish is made with fried eggplant, lettuce, mixed onions, carrots, tofu and coriander topped with a house made sauce. Salads come with a choice between peanut or sweet and sour dressing.
