Welcome to Riverdale East

If you are new to Toronto, Riverdale Park (550 Broadview Avenue) is divided in half by the Don River. The park’s east half is located nearest 569 Broadway Avenue & 9 Tennis Crescent Apartments, less than a two-minute walk across the street.

What to do at the park

Riverdale Park East has many activities available depending on the time of year. In winter, the park is one of the city’s best loved destinations for tobogganing. There is also an ice skating rink and a ball hockey pad, as well as changing rooms to switch into your gear. As the weather warms up, explore the two ball diamonds, three multipurpose sports fields, seven tennis courts and running track all located here.

You may want to walk to Riverdale Farm (201 Winchester Street), a 20-minute trek from 569 Broadway Avenue & 9 Tennis Crescent Apartments following the walking trails over the Don River to the west side of the park. The farm recreates what a working farm would have been like in the early 1900s. It covers seven and a half acres and is home to many farm animals, including pigs, chickens, cows and horses.
