There’s plenty of ways to celebrate fall in Canada! Timbercreek Communities has a list of some of the best and most unique festivals happening across Canada this fall season.
Cranberry Harvest in OntarioÂ
Nothing says fall like the taste of cranberries! For a unique experience, check out Cranberry Harvest in Muskoka from September 28th to October 31st. It's hosted on a massive property with 27 acres of land where you can hike, hunt for geocaches and go on wagon tours. Check out the Cranberry Cafe to enjoy a gourmet meal or sample their baked goods. You can even do a wine tasting tour or stop by the Cranberry Emporium to pick up a souvenir.
To experience a bit of Bavarian culture, don’t miss the Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest from October 11th to 19th. Not only is it a great party with lots of beer and traditional Bavarian clothing, but it’s also a great place to eat yummy food, listen to live music and even do a 5K run! This event has something for everyone, including kids and families. So, are you ready to celebrate Canada’s greatest Bavarian festival?
Oyster Festival in Halifax
If you want to experience a raw bar like never before, you have to check out Oyster Festival in Halifax. This two-day event kicks off on Friday, October 4th at the Halifax Waterfront. Over 50,000 oysters from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI will be devoured. This is a great place to learn about (and meet) oyster farmers and their families, eat great food and socialize. There will also be wine, spirits and beer for you to enjoy!
Fall Okanagan Wine Festival
Plan a trip to the Okanagan Valley this fall and experience one of the most incredible wine festivals in Canada. Aside from high-quality wines and food, the Fall Okanagan Wine Festival is located in the most scenic place, surrounded by mountains and lakes. You can do a vineyard tour, dine on a waterfront patio and learn about food and wine pairings. The festival is on from October 3rd to 13th.
Whether it’s food, wine or music, autumn features so many great events across Canada. Timbercreek hopes you take the chance to experience at least one of these four festivals this fall season.Â
