Get fit with indoor rowing in Calgary

May 09, 2016

Competitive rowers get an incredible strength and cardio workout every time they hop into their boats, but these workouts usually happen before the rest of us get out of bed. If you’d like the benefits of rowing without the early morning wakeup call, then Row 17 (919 17 Ave SW) in Calgary has what you’re looking for.

Better than your average erg

If you’ve been a long-time gym rat, then you might have spent some time on an ergometer or rowing machine. Row 17 uses a modern ergometer called the WaterRower GX, which uses actual water to create resistance on each stroke. These machines don’t require any electricity, and even beginner rowers can quickly settle into their stroke.TC Calgary Rowing
