Take a trip to the African Lion Safari

You can experience an African safari close to home. The nearby African Lion Safari (1386 Cooper Road) is opening its doors for another season. In today’s post from Timbercreek Communities, learn more about this unique family-friendly attraction, just a short drive from our Cambridge apartments.

Welcome to the safari

Elephants, lions, giraffes and more await your arrival at the African Lion Safari, a 20-minute drive from Park Lane Towers Apartments (204 Hespeler Road). This local wildlife preserve is home to over 1,000 exotic birds and animals. The park reopens this spring on May 7th and will remain open to the public until October 10th.

Experience the preserve

There are many ways to experience this local attraction. Many people choose to drive their own cars through the reserve, which takes about an hour. You can also choose to leave the driving to someone else by riding in one of the air-conditioned buses, which have large windows and engaging tour guides that provide background and context for the animals that you are meeting. Looking for still other ways to explore the safari this spring? Take a train or consider an exciting boat cruise.
