Beaches Jazz Festival StreetFest

One of the highlights of the summer is the annual Beaches Jazz Festival StreetFest. This July will mark the 27th year of this international music event. The festivities will take place on the nights of July 23rd through the 25th on Queen Street East, from Woodbine Avenue to Beech Avenue. This location is only about a five-minute bike ride away from 600 Kingston Apartments. Streets in this area will be closed from 6:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. during the festival. Check out the complete lineup of bands online. In addition to great music, the event also has a charity run and walk, perfect for beginner and experienced athletes alike, in addition to many other activities, food and more.

Canada Day Fireworks

Celebrate one of summer’s biggest holidays at Ashbridges Bay Park (1675 Lake Shore Boulevard). Canada Day Fireworks will be happening at this popular park on July 1st. To get to this section of the Beaches, take public transportation just 15 minutes from 600 Kingston Apartments. This event is free to attend.

Heatwave Toronto 2015

Don’t miss Heatwave Toronto 2015 on July 11th and 12th. This event raises money for SickKids, an organization that helps support children fighting cancer. It is the largest beach volleyball and beach soccer event of its kind in the city.
